Several companies are investing in Andhra Pradesh. According to the government, the investments are expected to create around 40,330 jobs in the next seven years. The state has been ranked in the top 10 states for ease of doing business, which is good news for investors. The government has pledged full cooperation to investors.
The state has attracted investments worth Rs47,490 crore in the last three years. Of this amount, Rs28,343 crore has been invested by mega industries. In addition, Rs1,51,372 crore has been invested in 61 industries, including a number of micro, small and medium enterprises. As of today, there are 91,244 crore of investments in the pipeline, according to the government.
According to the Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade, Andhra Pradesh has emerged as one of the top investment destinations in India. Since January, the state has attracted Rs 1,71,285 crore in industrial investment. It has topped the list, followed by Odisha, which received Rs 36,828 crore in the first seven months of 2022. Together, these two states account for nearly 45 per cent of the total investment inflow in India.
In July, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha received the highest actual industrial investment in the country. In fact, both these states accounted for almost half of the total industrial investment in the country. In total, India received Rs171,285 crore in actual industrial investment during July, with Andhra Pradesh earning Rs40,361 crore and Orissa receiving Rs36,828 crore. By this measure, the state is the third-largest recipient of industrial investment, behind Gujarat, Maharashtra and Orissa.
