When you 
visit an auction yard, there’s a good chance you’ll see items that look like they’re a lot cheaper than they actually are. While some auctions offer low prices, you can often get a better deal by spending more money at a different auction. However, it’s worth checking a few things before you make your purchase.
Before you buy, you should register as an auction bidder. You can pre-register for a given auction by registering at the auction yard a week or two in advance. You will need a valid driver’s license and must be at least 18 years of age. Children and pets are not permitted in the auction yard, and you must be able to pay the full amount.
In order to bid, you must be registered and have a bidder’s number. You must have this number to place a bid and no one else is allowed to view the vehicle. Once you have made your bid, the auction yard will complete the Bill of Sale in your name. It is important to read all auction terms and conditions before bidding.
You should be aware of the fact that auctions don’t operate with full transparency. Auction Nation, for example, used auction software to automatically outbid other bidders until the max amount was reached. But many real bidders didn’t know about the bidding, and would’ve bid differently if they knew. Some would have even decided not to bid at all.
